Christang Restaurant

It has been weeks since we planned for this outing - a dinner outing for Wendy's birthday celebration. As everyone was kinda busy over the last few weekends and we are left with no choice but to postpone the dinner till last Sunday evening :). As everyone knows that our birthday girl Wendy is addicted to pork meals, someone suggested that we should visit this restaurant - Christang Restaurant. It is a restaurant that is serving special pork burgers (Portuguese style burger maybe?) which is exactly what we are looking for after all :p. Other than pork burgers, they do serve authentic Malacca's Nyonya style cuisines as well as western food suck as grill steaks. With no objections, everyone agrees to have our yearly celebration there for Wendy :).

The entrance.

Bar serving drinks.

Nice table settings.

Our birthday girl - Wendy Teoh was celebrating her xx birthday :p!

The pork burgers menu.

These are the food that we ordered :).

Red d'tox, kind of like mix fruits juice with carrots, orange, apple ...

Devils on horseback, bacon & asparagus rolls served with special sauce.

Sweet and sour pork, our portuguese style of "Ku Lou Yuk:.

Pork burger that I ordered. Served with grill prawn and cajun wedges. The patty was served with special bolonaise sauce.

Fried Nasi Lemak, stir fried coconut milk steam rice wrapped in a fried scrambled egg. It tasted too spicy for me and the "sambal" they added was really HOT!

Generally the food served was tasted quite good for my Chinese tongue :p. I am not really fancy on western food though especially burgers. A bit of comment about the Fried Nasi Lemak, they should not have made it too hot by default but instead should let the customer decide the level of spiciness he/she likes. As regarding the pork burger, the patty's sauce should not be bolognaise but mayonaise which i think will make the burger tastes much better. Overall, it is a good place to go for dinner especially when you want something special for your dinner other than ordinary Malaysian cuisine.
